Experience local Azorean culture and cuisine, discover hidden island gems, and learn how to take better photos with me as your guide!

Natural beauty, breathtaking beaches, and charming villages await you. Immerse yourself in the amazing culture, sights and warmhearted people of this beautiful Azorean island. From volcanic villages, waterfalls, beautiful beaches, hot springs and country roads, this trip has it all.

We will explore the main areas of what Sao Miguel Island has to offer as we travel by private shuttle, stopping at amazing destinations along the way. There will be opportunities for beautiful photographs around every corner on our journey.

This tour is designed to not only guide you to the most photogenic locations on the island - including waterfalls, volcanic lagoons and nightscape opportunities, but to allow you to immerse yourself in the culture of the Azores. My goal is to inspire you with nature so that you go home with photos you can be proud of, as well as improving on, and expanding on, your photographic techniques. Our week together will include individual and group discussions, inspiring ideas and great fun! The Azores Islands are the perfect place to express your creativity.

Our adventure begins at one of Europe’s most beautiful gardens, Terra Nostra, in the heart of the volcanic village, Furnace. Here we will take in the peace and tranquility of these hot springs and gardens. From there we head to the north side of the island to visit the oldest and only operating European tea factory, enjoying picturesque countryside roads and panoramic ocean vistas along the way, before reaching the eastern most part of the island known as one of Europe’s most beautiful villages - Nordeste. We then set off to explore the western part of the island to experience one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal in the volcanic village of Sete Cidades. Here lies the infamous green and blue lakes. Just a short drive from there is the charming seaside village of Mosteiros, which is known to have the best sunsets on the island. Finally, a trip to Sao Miguel wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Lagoa de Fogo, with its high mountain peaks and mystical lake, offering amazing views and photo opportunities.
